OUR DEAR FORMATORS
In a seminary, formators play essential roles in guiding seminarians through spiritual, academic, pastoral, and personal development. They include spiritual directors, who provide one-on-one guidance to deepen seminarians’ relationship with God; professors, who teach theology and related subjects; pastoral supervisors, who oversee practical ministry experiences; formation advisors, who focus on personal growth and emotional maturity; and administrators like rectors and vice-rectors, who ensure the seminary’s smooth operation and discipline. Additionally, vocation directors assist in vocational discernment, while evaluation committees regularly assess seminarians’ progress, ensuring they are well-prepared for priestly ministry.
